Young Tanzanian Soccer player to join Aspire Soccer Training Academy


TANZANIAN young soccer player Salum Bakari has been selected to join Spanish Academy-Aspire, for a three- year soccer training stint. He was among three most talented youngsters selected from the East African region to join Aspire Academy.

The trio were discovered after intensive review and consultations by a team of Aspire Academy scouts which traversed the East African region in search of budding talent.Aspire Africa country coordinator, Eugene Mwasamaki said Bakari’s football scholarship was achievement for the Aspire programme and a boost to youth football development initiatives in the country. He said: “This is the third year in a row since this Aspire Africa Dream programme was introduced in the country.


Prior to heading to Senegal's capital, Dakar for the training camp, the youngsters will meet with youngsters from other parts of the world in Qatar.
The Aspire programme started in 2007 and runs in 15 different countries throughout Asia, South America and Africa with two high class soccer academies in Qatar and Senegal.
I'm gonna be honest with you, I dont watch soccer, and i have never watched Tanzanian Soccer, the only time i watch soccer is during the world cup, if you calcualte that correctly, thats evey 4 years but to see young Tanzanian talent bud like this, makes me feel a bit drawn to watching it, or at least try, May his Journey be succesful.
