Pilot's Jet Crash Escape

Did ya miss this news... this quick thinker who almost lost his life.Brian Bews ejected from the plane just moments before it crashed to the ground and burst into flames before an airshow. He  was pictured sailing metres above the stricken aircraft in a partially opened parachute

(was taken to hospital with injuries) I'm betting it was  a James Bond moment right there. I'm not I'm jealous but nothing interesting happens to me! Jumping out of crashing planes, even flying planes. The last time I jumped off something was my bicycle  7 years ago, the brakes wouldn't work and I wasn't even speeding I just wanted the ' adrenaline rush'

The CF-18 Hornet combat aircraft was at Lethbridge airport for the 2010 Alberta International Airshow, which takes place this weekend.
Captain Holly Brown said the crash happened during a practice session."Obviously, he knew there was a problem and he successfully ejected from the aircraft and he survived," Cpt Brown "He's alive and it's very good news."The cause of the crash is  unknown  so far and there were no more details on the pilot's injuries.Department of National Defence and transportation department officials are investigating.Airshow officials said the twin-engine plane is normally used for fighter escort and day and night strike missions.
