You probably heard that Tiger Woods was fined on Monday by the European Tour for spitting during the final round of the Dubai Desert Classic in Dubai...If it wasnt for his round-down year 2010 I bet this wouldnt have made the news..The incident occurred Sunday 13th Feb.. on the 12th green, after Mr Woods missed a par putt on his way to a three-over 75
Commentator Ewen Murray said:
“Disgusting, what he has just done there … there are some parts of him that are just arrogant and petulant. Somebody now has to come behind him and maybe putt over his spit. It does not get much lower than that.”
“Tournament director Mike Stewart has reviewed the incident and feels there has been a breach of the tour code of conduct and consequently Tiger Woods will be fined,” the tour said in a statement. However The tour refused to disclose the amount of the fine.
He apologized on hit twitter though..
Was it disgusting? Yes..Are they making a big deal out of it?....For International sports news, yes...I never expected to ever wake up to headlines 'Tiger Spits in Dubai'
