Get Kanye 's Rosewood Movement Look
One of my fave male fashionista, Kanye... and recently jis really made me smile with his Rosewood movement trend. After Kanye’s Rosewood Movement was unveiled in the U.S. several weeks back, he and his inner circle have taken the whole “suits all day” lifestyle disease to a whole new level! Its everyday, every single day bae bae!!! I wonder how long they can keep it up till one by one starts bailing out. I know I'm supposed to say how fashionable that is but wearing suit every miserable day of ur life can be rather tiring!
When Kanye West was on Power 105 last week, he explained the concept behind the Rosewood Movement. It goes beyond just throwing on a designer suit and a shiny pair of hard bottoms.
The Rosewood Movement is a fashion initiative in which Kanye and his group wear the same sharply tailored suits. It stems from the Rosewood Civil Rights Movement, but in this case is meant to raise the level of sophistication within the rap and hip hop worlds. Kanye is known to be a fashion trend setter, so this is meant to influence his followers to dress a bit sharper.
The current dress code is a Dior Homme Black Classic Skinny Suit (as seen on West in this photo). It is sold in Beverly Hills and New York City boutiques and retails for $2,200. It is available during every season. The Rosewood Movement launched in July and other suits West’s group have worn include Lanvin and Club Monaco. Dior Homme will continue to be the suit of choice until further notice.
The classic look works well for West.” But its not like everyone's gonna check your label ryt!? Cheat a bit, try on a good slim suit, and rock some colors while you're on it, suits tailored ryt with some good bottoms and look sharp! I've heard rumors that the rosewood movement might be the theme of his next album.
The Movement is all about being a gentleman and representing yourself with the utmost class. It’s about “not cursing loud in public, pulling out chairs for your lady, opening up doors, calling your grandmother, and taking care of your kids.” If you don’t agree with the Rosewood mentality and prefer to be a jerk, but look good at the same time, follow this guide to get Kanye’s Rosewood Movement look.
Also in a recent interview with Angie Martinez, Kanye West revealed some insight on what he did after his VMA incident....(which I've been dying to know btw!) After the incident, Kanye moved to Rome and during his time there he interned for Fendi. This isn’t the first time Kanye has interned for a major fashion empire. Back in 2008, he also interned for Louis Vuitton & Raf Simmons. I gotta say..I'm impressed !
Ps...did u catch Kanye's "I jog in Lanvin" Tweet about a while ago? was trendin topic on twitter ...he sure knows how to spark some controversy
for more info on how you can dress like Kanye go to www.dresslikekanyewest.com and yes I'm as shocked as you are that there's website on how to dress like Kanye west but i guess there are more people obsessed about how he dresses than me.
I really doubt anyone can keep this Rosewood look all day all week though, its nice, but really? Anyway, If u think you rocked Kanye's Rosewood movement do send me a quick pick picture...so we can make Rosewood lookbook for y'all see, how it turns out..
