Congo, and throughout Africa.
The Georges Malaika Foundation (GMF), a non-profit 501(c)(3) organization dedicated to unlocking the potential of young African girls in the Democratic Republic of Congo through education.
Founded in 2007 GMF is comprised of a diverse team of non-profit and private industry professionals with a vocation for empowering African girls through education.
GMF’s team of educational and industry professionals is developing a system of grants, sponsorships and provisions for tuition, school materials and equipment that provide the building blocks for more fulfilled lives. Its long term goal is to build schools throughout D.R. Congo.
GMF Mission Statement
The Georges Malaika Foundation is dedicated to the advancement of African communities by providing educational opportunities to young girls, aged 5 to 18. Its vision is to mobilize the resources necessary to overcome the insurmountable obstacles a young girl faces to obtain an education in the Democratic Republic of Congo. GMF will provide assistance that paves the way for opportunity, generates greater choice and empowers girls to make informed decisions. GMF endeavors to permanently alter the cycle of illiteracy and poverty within the D.R. Congo.
I love people who try and make a difference rather than who those try make a name and if you can do something beneficial with your fame to help others,or influence others to give like you, then I believe you're the continents little Malaika.
