This short film by South African filmmaker  Benitha Vlok. shows the significance of graduating from high school and attending a Matric Ball in some of the poorest neighbourhoods in South Africa. The whole community comes out to celebrate and the graduates are rock stars for a day. To their communities they are hope - living examples of the ability of education to empower and provide opportunities for a better future. A great story for young people, inspiring, definitely something that i wish went on for an hour....
