Côté Minou has become one of my favorite African African brand name. They are a modern twist to traditional African couture. Designed by Maryanne E. Mokoko and Stephanie T. Mouapi from Douala, Cameroon, are pieces that can be worn by any woman of any size to any event and at any time. From day to evening, casual to professional their clothes are rich in pattern and versatility!
Côté is french for corner and Minou is a combination of the designers' nicknames. Coucou (Maryanne's) and Nini (Stephanie's) with M being the first letter in both our last names. CM designers say "Africa its culture as well a number of other aspects. Rhythm, geometry, structure, pattern, texture, nature, music, dance...art in general. All with a mix of modern and traditional concepts."
The twist they put i their designs makes them absolutley unique and tehy stand out, designers like these is what AFrica needs....ones that know how to twist fashion to their tune and not just copy the modern world designs
