iLike: Vashtie Kola

I like the cross between high Fashion and Tomboy, its just a perfect cut...and This gurl rili did catch me Eye,
Designer, video Director and Producer. Trinidadian Vashtie Kola's clothing line Violette just won with me,
inspired by “a mix of opposite worlds: uptown and downtown, hip-hop and rock, feminine and masculine, casual and couture”. As Vashtie says of the line “Imagine if Louis Vuitton had a daughter who lived on the Lower East Side [of New York City]–she’d be rocking a luxury handbag and a fly pair of kicks. Her wardrobe would consist of rare designer items and delicate vintage pieces…”
Kola is infact  the first female to design a sneaker for Nike Air Jordan using her fab fashionable touch to create her take on the Air Jordan 2. The lavender retro kicks hit stores October 2nd. Yes I'm lovin me some sneakers and pushing away the stilletos about now

Throw in a little tomboyish Fashion to your  daily style girls...
Hey, Gwen aint complainin...

Cairo's First Woman Taxi Driver

Breaking the barriers of Monopoly in Egypt she is the first Woman Taxi Driver, Enas Hammam,
Cairo’s first female taxi drivers, gives us a sneak peak into her daily life. I love that she seems so confident and is embracing her new job

Watch the full interview on here
Take note Cairo has the most hectic and un-organized traffic life in African History! As much as I am proud, she's in my prayers, lol!! A guick glimpse of a usual evening in Cairo...

I am glad they're starting to accept women doing certain jobs, thats a baby step right there

Naomi Campbell on Interview Magazine!

" I make many mistakes.” She says, “I mean, look, I’m controversial. It’s not that people don’t know who I am . . . If people want to work with me, then they want to work with me. If they don’t, they don’t. You also have to create your own things. I’ve had my own perfume now for how many years? I’m doing my twelfth perfume and I’m with Procter & Gamble. If something doesn’t come your way, then you find another way. I was brought up with a very broad mind. I am a woman of color and I will always be proud of that. I also know that I will always have to go that extra 10 miles. And that’s fine. I’m okay with that. I’m okay with doing the extra 10 miles . . . My whole career is a challenge. I’m a challenge.”

I was Very Grossed out at the photoshoot, Confession: for some peculiar reason i am very scared of Naomi and if i ever met her, God help me I'd shiver like feather  though i heard she's cherry sweet in person,Always scared that I'd meet her and my fidgety-talk-too-much self wud do something and She'd jump on me like KArate-Style, it has something to do with the anger management stories that i heard, I'd be a nervous, i jis dunno y?! This photoshoot jis made my fear worse lol...
Tho the shoot is a homage to Eastern Promises starring Virgo Mortensen and Naomi Watts. The movie is based on a Russian mob so they are playing with the aspects of Naomi’s “controversial” life and her ties to Russia (she lives in Moscow and her boyfriend is Russian as you all know). A lot of people on the internet are disgusted with the bloody shoot but no one seems to realize that it is a homage to Eastern Promises. If you’ve watched the movie, you’ll understand the shoot....after getting it, it de-grossed me out....

She spoke about the TRial at the Hague in front of the war crimes tribunal of the former Liberian president Charles Taylor
Well, I think most people—most intelligent people—understand that it’s a case that has been going on for a few years. But for some people it seemed like all of the sudden it was brought to their attention. Why? Because I had to go testify? I mean, I did the best I could there with my knowledge and what I could remember. They were asking me about things that happened 13 years ago . . . Okay, I said one word—that it was inconvenient—and that was wrong, and I take that. But I wasn’t saying . . . Someone asked me, “Are you nervous to be here?” I think anyone in the world would be nervous to be there! And then someone called me an idiot for not knowing where Liberia was . . . Many of my friends in 1997 had never even heard of Liberia. You know, I felt like I was on trial myself—and this was not my trial. I don’t condone what this man has done. I don’t condone what anyone does in being responsible for the deaths of kids and families and their own people—allegedly, that’s what I’ve read. That’s what we’ve all read. But I just saw the whole thing become a complete media circus. I felt very disappointed that people couldn’t really see what was going on. This wasn’t about me. This was not my trial. This was his trial. But anyone looking at it would think it was about me.

Using the Trial to make it into an event.

CAMPBELL: I don’t want to say what they did or what they didn’t do, but, as I say, it was another experience in my life. I did it to the best of my ability. I do take that I said a word that was taken out of context, something about inconvenience. I accept that that was not the right word to say.

But when asked if someone’s nervous sitting there, when you’ve got the whole world—people from Australia, people from Brazil, New Zealand—of course I was nervous! This is not what I’m used to. Being on a runway, doing a fashion show is what I know. Not being on this other platform.

Okay this is a totally Random Thot and out of Context but How much do you think they paid this guy to lay naked in them shots like that ...jis curious..

Quick Question

This pic is from Naomi Campbell's Recent interview photoshoot and i gotta say, this pic freaked me out...

Europe Dominates list of Top 10 pickpocket traps

The Global pick pocket hot stops were revealed by websiteTripAdvisor and guess what..Europe Topped the list, total bummer! I thought they'd have at least 5 African Cities up in that list!
I'm amazed that Dar Es Salaam didnt top this list..oh did somebody pay TripAdvisor to keep status? Ever been to Mwenge in the evening? Oh My, hold your purse to your heart darling. The action of these guys not giving Bongo the number 1 title on this list is an insult to all the Expert Pick-pockets and Trained Vibaka's in the streets of Dar jamani, they snatch stuff u dont realize missing till u get home..they are experts i tell ya!Its liek saying the pick-pocketing efforts weren't recognized! And they got techniques, siku hizi wanakusimamisha kabsaa 'Dada Habari, Samahani nimepotea' huku wanachomoa simu...

The list goes like this..

1. Las Ramblas, Barcelona, Spain
Las Ramblas, the famous wide, pedestrian walkway full of life, music, and people at all hours of the day and night, is the perfect place to get your purse pinched.
2. Rome, Italy
With its ancient buildings, historical and cultural attractions, Rome is full of tourists admiting the Trevi Fountain or the Pantheon. It’s easy for a pickpocket to lift a camera or purse with a quick snip of scissors.
3. Prague, Czech Republic
The beautiful Charles Bridge is lined with 30 baroque-style statues, as well as thousands of tourists who crowd its ancient stones each year, making a perfect recipe for pickpocketing. Before taking in the view of the Vltava River and the Prague Castle beyond, be sure valuables are strapped down.
4. Madrid, Spain
El Rastro fleamarket and the crowded metro are often cited as spots where unfriendly pickpocket schemes can put a damper on a visit to this beautiful city. Travelers should also beware that in museums, pickpockets can also prey on distracted tourists.
5. Paris, France
The City of Light draws enormous crowds from the base of the Eiffel Tower to the steps of Sacre-Coeur but enormous crowds can also be found below ground, in the city’s metro system, where travelers should be especially cautious.
6. Florence, Italy
It is easy for tourists to be distracted by the majestic beauty of Michelangelo’s David and the other awe-inspiring works of art and pieces of history all around Florence but when admiring Michelangelo’s creation, or at its replica in busy Piazza della Signoria, be alert for pickpockets.
7. Buenos Aires, Argentina
Buenos Aires is a vibrant and culturally rich city with much to offer, from the famed Teatro Colon to the city’s many distinct neighborhoods but if you are suddenly covered in “bird droppings” (likely mustard) and a “friendly” local happens to be standing by with napkins to help you clean up, beware.
8. Amsterdam, Netherlands
Don’t be too taken in by the canals and the friendly, laid-back atmosphere - pickpockets have been known to take advantage of countless tourists in this enchanting city.
9. Athens, Greece
Whether visiting the Parthenon on the Acropolis, or anything else in this magnificent historic city, keep your bags close.
10. Hanoi, Vietnam
The capital of Vietnam has its charming Old Quarter, littered with monuments and colonial architecture, and the city also features 600 temples and pagodas, making it a beautiful and unique place to visit, but also a place to stay alert.Pick pokctes in this area are extra smart, almost too smart for an avergae human, i call them experts.
All Info from tripadvisor.com.Just  so You dont say I didnt Warn ya, I think the list needs 1 more addition

I have addicted to the Kardashians, most of my friends were and i used to find them strange like how? Coz I'm not a fan of celebrity reality shows until i started watching, then i couldnt stop!My fave Kardashian Chicka Kimmie got held up at the LAX.
I guess security, like me, couldnt believe that all that cleavage and spongy behind was all hers, like..woman u hiding something back there? Weapons of Mass Destruction  maybe?

But unlike Paris Hilton who gets caught with Marijuana in almost every airport, Kimmie had nothing on her..so ur probly wondering what the big story is ...
the big story is...
Why oh Why did she wear this bra?

Really Miss Kardashian?...
but I can I say I totally understand, unexpected things happen when ur not wearing the right bra and didnt expect it..
