White People Being Rented in China

So today i was watching CNN when heard some shocking news,In China, white people can be rented. For a day, a weekend, a week, up to even a month or two, Chinese companies are willing to pay high prices for fair-faced foreigners to join them as fake employees or business partners. Some call it "White Guy Window Dressing." To others, it's known as the "White Guy in a Tie" events, "The Token White Guy Gig," or, simply, a "Face Job."
I'm hearing in China to have a few foreigners hanging around means a company has prestige, money and the increasingly crucial connections -- real or not -- to businesses abroad.
Vicky Mohieddeen, a Beijing-based actor, photographed at a 2008 trade show where she was hired to pretend to be an oil tycoon from Scotland

Jonathan Zatkin, an American actor who lives in Beijing, posed as the vice president of an Italian jewelry company that had, allegedly, been in a partnership with a Chinese jewelry chain for a decade.
Zatkin was paid 2,000 yuan (about $300) to fly, along with a couple of Russian models, to a small city in the central province of Henan where he delivered a speech for the grand opening ceremony of a jewelry store there.
They have not told me what my name is today. I think it is Lawrence or something

"I was up on stage with the mayor of the town, and I made a speech about how wonderful it was to work with the company for 10 years and how we were so proud of all of the work they had done for us in China," Zatkin said. "They put up a big bandstand and the whole town was there and some other local muckety-mucks."
The requirements for these jobs are simple. 1. Be white. 2. Do not speak any Chinese, or really speak at all, unless asked. 3. Pretend like you just got off of an airplane yesterday.

American Restaurant Serves Lion Meat to Honor South African Worldcup..Bizare!

A restaurant in the US has received death threats after it putting lion meat on its menu in honor of the World Cup in South Africa. Il Vinaio restaurant in Phoenix, Arizona, has received one bomb threat and around 250 emails from animal rights activists after announcing its new dish.
"We have access to some really exotic meats that are USDA-approved," owner Cameron Selogie said.
"One of the ones that raised eyebrows was the lion," he added.
The big cat is not illegal to eat in the US and Mr Selogie insists the lions used to make the burgers were raised on a free-range farm.. okay but This just got me thinking..what the eefffin? We DONT EAT LION MEAT!!!! If I knew their number I'd place some death threats maself....Lion meat? Of all things to honor the world cup with, lion meat?

"We've had quite a few customers asking us off the cuff when are we going to serve some lion," the restaurateur went on.
"In Africa they do eat lions. "So I assume if it's OK for Africans to eat lions then it should be OK for us." what the hell is that supposed to mean? Do we eat Lion meat? I've never ate Lion meat? Lion meat? seriously? Lions are decreasing in Africa and wildlife organizations are doing they're best to hold on to them and these stupid arses are serving them to honor the world cup?! Serving up a threatened species is sending the wrong message...

Chris Brown's Michael Jackson Tribute @ the 2010 BET Awards

Just incase you missed it, Chris Brown did an awesome Job. And he apologized a million times, i think its time we put the past behind and move on coz this guy got talent and its a sad shame that we're gonna let one incident overshadow that

iLike:Chaka Khan and Patti LaBelle

Chaka Khan and Patti LaBelle  onstage during the 2010 BET Awards held at the Shrine Auditorium, Sunday, in Los Angeles, California.. They looked fabulous...talk about growing old beautifully, these two were just glowing. Jis when i saw this picture this morning i felt lil bad coz o wat i was wearing tadae, some shorts and baggy tee, i was like damn it, these two old ladies look better than me...made me go ryt bak inside and change into something 'ladylike'

Chris Brown Rocked the BET Awards Y'all!

Chris Brown and his Michael Jackson tribute act rocked the 2010 BET Awards, which took place on Sunday in LA's Shrine Auditorium. he was Introduced by Jermaine Jackson,
brother of the late king of pop,  kicked off his tribute with ‘The Way You Make Me Feel’, followed by ‘Billie Jean’.During the performance, the Best Male R&B Artist nominee wore Jacko’s trademark fedora and spangled glove as he emulated his signature moves – including the moonwalk.

But the most touching thing was  when he sang  'man in the mirror' overcome with emotion towards the end of his tribute, breaking into tears and crumpling to the stage. Hosted by Queen Latifah and opened by Kanye West, who sang new single ‘Power’ in his first performance at a prize-giving bash.

Prince was BET’s Lifetime Achievement Award winner,

feted with an all-female musical tribute including Patti LaBelle and Alicia Keys, who scooped awards for Female R&B Artist and Best Collaboration for ‘Empire State of Mind’, her song with Jay-Z.
Serena Williams, who won Sportswoman of the Year, LeBron James (Sportsman of the Year) and Beyoncé and Lady Gaga, who weren’t there to receive the Video of the Year gong for Video Phone.Back To Chris Brown, he reappeared on stage after his Jackson tribute to accept the AOL ‘Fandemonium' prize, an award that honours his fans’ online devotion, he said: ‘I let you all down before, but I won't do it again. I promise you.’

For that Man

Men aren't keen on adding details to an outfit, they just put on shirt, trousers and leave, well times are changing and you ought to be even a little fashion conscious or else  girls wont look at you they'll look past you...its all in the coordination...now follow...
always add details on your  neck, if you're not gonna wear a chain, work a scarf, however little. The big scarves are quit the eye catch but the tiny ones look more defined
If you're gonna carry a man bag, go for sharp edged ones..they look more masculine...and stop shying away from them already!

cardigans should be your best friends, and if you're gonna wear a belt, quit wearing bulky big belts with ridiculous buckles and go for thin belts, and a little silver wont hurt

thin belt and studded watch
If it its hot, wear some comfy sandals! you don't have to wear sneakers all the times, yes we know they're Louboutins but you're feet wont feel so pleasant later, let them have air...

Always on time, studded watches..forget diamond watches that scream 'bling,'  get simple studded watch, it will look more fancier.
And lastly, stop dressing up like a rapper, quit the hip hop look...Try soft colors and patterns and clothes that actually fit.

iLike: Zoe Saldana

  • Zoe at the Glamour women awards London

I don't actually have a fashion icon, the reason behind is rather huge, but i do have my eye on a handful of people who really do know how to work it. Zoe Saldana is definitely one of em. She never disappoints, her hair to  make up to attire, is always well selected either she's paying her stylish extra or she has really good fashion blood, or both!

Faboulous hair: Braided buns

The hairstyle that got my eye, is braided bun....
"This style says I'm not afraid to take a risk and show both sides of my personality--the classic and the creative! By taking the staple bun and giving it a bohemian twist, you can't help but end up with a head-turning style that is downtown cool," says celebrity stylist and Sunsilk Co-Creator Teddy Charles.
How to do a braided bun on your own:
  • Start with naturally textured hair. Rake your hands through your hair with Sunsilk Hydra TLC Creme to smooth frizzies and give hair that piece-y, textured look.
  • Separate the hair into three sections, almost as if you are making three pigtails--one in the back of the head and one on each side of the head. Take the back section and secure it with a hair elastic in a low ponytail. Twist the hair to make a bun and secure in place with a few hidden bobby pins.
  • Take one of the side pigtails and loosely braid it. Secure with a clear hair elastic. Repeat this step with the final pigtail. Take one the braids & extend it back--wrapping it around the secured bun--pin the end of the braid in place with a few bobby pins. Repeat this step with the other braid.
  • Pull a few face-framing wisps out in the front. Depending on the length of your hair, a few little hairs in the braids might pop out--this is ok! It's summer time and ok to look a little purposefully disheveled.

There are many reasons for trying a new hairstyle. Maybe you're sitting in front of the mirror getting ready to go out, and you just can't decide what to do with your hair that you haven't done a hundred and two times before. Try the Braided bun, its a killer do, dinner, a night of dancing, a day at the office

And celebrities love it!

Zoe always knows just how to put hair right and it fascinates, her braided bun. she's been recently spotted with braided buns, and i gotta say, it just looks incredible.
Here Zoe Saldana  with various bun dos,Her loose buns were the perfect finish to her flawless look.

Kelis...you're making me worried

Kelis is always fierce, what she wears, her makeup, jewelry.... but lately her choice in attire leaves me awed..should we be worried? Does this have anything to do with the divorce or are these just bad pictures? whatever it is someone needs to slap the fashion sense back into her... the color coordination, the hair, the jewelry, everything is off!

This was April, when she wore only lace, the horror !...i prayed for her that night..

Jumpsuit Era

When you chose to follow trends, you must also keep in mind that the trend u wear suits you the way it should, I've seen so many beautiful jumpsuits and playuit worn all wrong and it scares me!! Honest! it makes me think, such lovly attire worn so wrong! Jumpsuits are supposed to look fabulous not scary!

Some guidelines i gathered to help you rock this trend more fiercly,
* Belting the Jumpsuit/Playsuit high up around the waist gives the effect of curves and is particularly effective for skinny frames which lack them. It is also a good idea to use belts to break up the top and bottom half, giving some separation to the all-in-one” outfit.

    * Look for statement versions this year which have all the on trend detailling; we are thinking pleats and ruffles, whilst there are a few more asymmetric cut styles available this year as well. If you are going to purchase an embellished version to really make a statement, make sure you pair it with more muted accessories in order to keep the outfit understated instead of in your face.

    * If you are high street shopping then don’t be put off jumpsuits when you see a shapeless mess on the hanger. These are definitely items which look better on, and when you fill it your outfit will suddenly come to life.
    * If you are worried about your bum or the back of your outfit in general why not pair your jumpsuit/playsuit with a long line cardigan which will give you more confidence when stepping out.

*  If you have curves or are body conscious then go for a halter jumpsuit belted in firmly at the waist in order to give you that womanly shape. Obviosuly sexy black numbers will keep your look sexy and chic, but also help you appear slimmer.

    * Shorter women should wear with ultra-tall heels in order to cancel out the “frump factor”. Shorter length playsuits will also suit your petite frame better as it will show more leg and give the appereance of length when matched with heels.

    * Sporty drawstring details add definition to the look whilst also allowing you to hit the whole Sports Luxe trend which is massive this year.

    * Inject a touch of glamour with sequinned separates such as short cardigans or shawls which will draw attention to your outfit.

And lastly, jumpsuits look good on people of all sizes! There are no restrictions...

So use the little fashion wisdom i give well, go now...dress like a star
