Duro Olowu 2010 Collection

Duro Olowu  designs is all about the printz - floral, floaty, chiffon print dresses. I first saw his designs in US Vogue, and was piqued by the sweeping floral creations. Of course, then I totally googled him, and found bits and pieces of his biography. Born in Nigeria, Olowu first started out as a lawyer before delving into fashion. His signature "Duro" dresses, with the empire waist billowing and the vivid prints, caught the eye of US and British Vogue.

He eventually won "New Designer of the Year" in 2005 at the British Fashion Awards. He is influenced by both Nigeria and England in his designs, what with the innovative London and the culture of Lagos, his hometown.
He left me bedazzled with his 2010 spring collection i just had to share it...

Exces-orize

My previous post was about Little White Dresses and It made me think, when you wear a a white dress or a blue dress or wear anything colorful..YOU HAVE TO EXCES-ORIZE!!! forget putting on some random accesories, pick out the chunkiest most stand-out ones, make a statement.

Three B's Bangles,Bracelets and Beads

A light neck scarf never hurt anyone..
Or You  can opt for something more standish-outish

Always carry a something yummy in ur arms...and by yummy i mean yummy colors, not that ur bag should be edible....yikes no!
Your feet do all the walking for you, the least you can do is make them look pretty in some gorgeous colorful shoes, remember, this season, no black, just stand-outtish colors...keep away from black!!..

And of course, i love shoes that scream..'look at me!!'
